Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes leads Philadelphia with 22 points
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 3:28 PM
Quentin Grimes accumulated 22 points (6-of-16 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals and four three-pointers in 33 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Wizards.
Analysis: Grimes didn't have his best night shooting the ball, making two of his seven attempts from inside the arc, but the overall stat line was solid. Over the past two weeks, the 76ers' guard has offered top-20 value in eight-cat formats. With Philadelphia ending Week 21 with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back, Grimes may miss one of those games for rest reasons. If so, Jared Butler (14/5/4 with four three-pointers in 26 minutes) would have added fantasy value.
Jeff Dowtin
Jeff Dowtin Jr., Quentin Grimes starting Wednesday
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 12:39 PM
Philadelphia 76ers
Jeff Dowtin Jr., Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Ricky Council IV and Guerschon Yabusele will start Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
Analysis: Dowtin and Grimes will start Wednesday's game, with Jared Butler and Chuma Okeke coming off the bench. While Grimes is already rostered in most standard leagues, Dowtin is worth streaming in deeper formats when allowed to start.
Jalen Hood-Schifino
Jalen Hood-Schifino (illness) out Wednesday
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 11:19 AM
Adam Aaronson
Jalen Hood-Schifino (illness) is out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
Analysis: Hood-Schifino's absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as Quentin Grimes is available after sitting out Monday's loss to the Pelicans. Chuma Okeke will likely play fewer minutes, eliminating what little streaming value he possessed.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes (rest) good to go Wednesday vs. WAS
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 10:41 AM
NBA Injury Report
Quentin Grimes (rest) is off the injury report ahead of Wednesday's matchup with the Wizards.
Analysis: Grimes took Monday night off after posting a 26/5/6 line in Sunday's loss to Atlanta, but he's been putting the Sixers on his back for the last month. In that span, Grimes comfortably leads his team in scoring with 24.9 points per game to go with 4.5 assists, 4.5 boards, 3.2 triples and 1.9 steals. He's been a top 40 fantasy option over the last 14 games, and there's no reason to think his hot streak will end any time soon.
Lonnie Walker
Lonnie Walker IV (neck) out Wednesday vs. WAS
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 10:41 AM
NBA Injury Report
Lonnie Walker IV (neck) is out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
Analysis: Due to a concussion and a head injury, Walker has missed six of Philadelphia's last seven games. A sprained neck will sideline him for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, leaving the 76ers light on players on the wing. Ricky Council IV and recent signing Marcus Bagley will play increased minutes, with the former in the starting lineup. Council is worthy of streaming consideration in deep leagues.
Jared Butler
Jared Butler turns in 19/2/2/3 line as starter
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 7:11 PM
Jared Butler started on Monday and contributed 19 points (8-of-16 FGs), two rebounds, two assists, three steals and three three-pointers against the Pelicans.
Analysis: After coming off the bench on Sunday, Butler returned to the starting unit on the second night of a back-to-back. His last few games had been subpar, but he had one of his best scoring nights of the season on Monday. Unfortunately, it was paired with an uncharacteristically low assist night for him, though he made up for it with a new season-high for steals. Butler should continue to play a large role for the tanking 76ers for the rest of the season.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona (ankle) records 6/7/1/2/1 line in return
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 6:30 PM
Adem Bona returned to the lineup on Monday and contributed six points (3-of-4 FGs), seven rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Bona missed Philadelphia's last five games with a left ankle sprain, and he was able to log 19 minutes in his first game back. Prior to his absence, he scored in double figures in four consecutive games and started in the final game before injuring his ankle. This wasn't a spectacular performance by any means, but it was good to see Bona back on the floor. Philly has three more games this week, and Bona could certainly make a return to the starting lineup at some point.
Ricky Council
PHI starting Butler, Council, Edwards, Okeke, Yabu
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 1:37 PM
Keith Pompey
Jared Butler, Ricky Council IV, Justin Edwards, Chuma Okeke and Guerschon Yabusele will start against the Pelicans on Monday.
Analysis: Butler will return to the starting lineup in place of Quentin Grimes, who is getting a rest night to help Philadelphia's lottery odds. Council IV will also enter the starting lineup, replacing Jeff Dowtin Jr. despite his 17/4/3/3/2 line in 26 minutes on Sunday.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona (ankle) available vs. New Orleans
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 1:33 PM
NBA Injury Report
Adem Bona (ankle) has been upgraded to available to play against the Pelicans on Monday.
Analysis: Bona will be back after a five-game absence and will split the minutes at center with Guerschon Yabusele. Bona started in his last appearance and scored in double figures in each of his last four games. There is a chance he starts, but he will at least play a significant reserve role.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona (ankle) probable Monday vs. Pelicans
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 8:40 AM
Ky Carlin
Adem Bona (ankle) is probable for Monday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Bona has missed the last five games with a sprained left ankle, but is likely to return Monday given his probable listing. He and Guerschon Yabusele will split time down low with the 76ers missing Andre Drummond and Joel Embiid.
Lonnie Walker
Lonnie Walker IV (head) out Monday vs. Pelicans
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 8:39 AM
Ky Carlin
Lonnie Walker IV (head) is out for Monday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Walker missed four games with a concussion before returning last Friday against the Spurs, but he subsequently left that game after playing 11 minutes with a head injury. Walker sat out Sunday's game against the Hawks with a concussion and will do the same Monday. There will be more minutes for Ricky Council IV and Jalen Hood-Schifino in his absence.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes, Andre Drummond out Monday vs. NOP
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 8:38 AM
Ky Carlin
Quentin Grimes (rest) and Andre Drummond (toe) are out for Monday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Grimes has the most fantasy value of anyone on the 76ers with Tyrese Maxey and Paul George out, but he won't help fantasy managers Monday as he's getting the night off for rest. Drummond will miss another game with a toe injury that has bothered him off and on all season long. Adem Bona figures to see more minutes with Drummond out.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr. out Monday vs. NOP
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 8:36 AM
Ky Carlin
Tyrese Maxey (back, finger) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) are out for Monday's game against the Pelicans.
Analysis: Maxey is set to miss his 12th game in a row and there's no end in sight for his string of absences. Oubre is set to miss his seventh game in a row with a knee injury. Justin Edwards should remain in the starting lineup while Ricky Council IV plays a significant role off the bench.
Jeff Dowtin
Jeff Dowtin records 17/4/3/3/2 line vs. Atlanta
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 2:47 PM
Jeff Dowtin finished Sunday's loss to the Hawks with 17 points (7-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, three steals, two blocks and one three-pointer in 26 minutes.
Analysis: Dowtin, on a two-way contract, started Sunday's game after being inactive for the previous two. He's approaching his 50-game limit (active for, not games played), hence Philadelphia's decision not to utilize him on Wednesday or Friday. Even though the 76ers play four games during Week 21, there's no guarantee Dowtin or Jalen Hood-Schifino will be available for each. Hood-Schifino was inactive on Sunday for the same reason Dowtin was earlier in the week.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes leads Philadelphia with 26 points
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 2:46 PM
Quentin Grimes accounted for 26 points (7-of-18 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 35 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: Grimes is playing the best basketball of his NBA career, scoring 25 points or more in his last eight appearances. The 76ers guard has benefitted immensely from Tyrese Maxey and Paul George's absences, possibly driving up his price ahead of restricted free agency in the summer. As long as Grimes is available, he'll be an excellent fantasy asset down the stretch. Philadelphia plays four games during Week 21, starting with the Pelicans on Monday.
Jeff Dowtin
PHI start Dowtin, Grimes, Edwards, Okeke, Yabusele
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 11:42 AM
NBA Lineups
Jeff Dowtin Jr., Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Chuma Okeke and Guerschon Yabusele will start Sunday's game against the Hawks.
Analysis: Dowtin replaces Jared Butler in the 76ers' starting lineup. Butler should still play plenty, especially with Jalen Hood-Schifino inactive. That's the lone change to the Philadelphia starting lineup.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona, Lonnie Walker IV out Sunday vs. Atlanta
Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 10:36 AM
NBA Injury Report
Adem Bona (ankle) and Lonnie Walker IV (concussion) are out against the Hawks on Sunday.
Analysis: Bona will miss a fifth straight game with a sprained left ankle. With Andre Drummond and Joel Embiid also out, the 76ers will lean on Guerschon Yabusele in the middle. As for Walker, he played 11 minutes in Friday's loss to the Spurs after missing four games in the league's concussion protocol. His absence means more playing time for Ricky Council IV and Jalen Hood-Schifino, with the former offering a higher streaming ceiling.
Ricky Council
Ricky Council IV chips in 20 points off bench
Fri, Mar 21, 2025, 5:07 PM
Ricky Council IV provided a boost off the bench with 20 points (6-of-9 FGs), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and three three-pointers against the Spurs on Friday.
Analysis: Council IV has taken on a more consistent role in recent weeks after being in and out of the rotation for most of the season. After making just one of his 11 shot attempts on Wednesday, Council IV responded by setting a new season-high for scoring. He has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games and has started three times during that stretch. He is a difficult player to trust in standard leagues, but he has had some productive performances recently.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes scores 25 points with 10 assists
Fri, Mar 21, 2025, 4:56 PM
Quentin Grimes recorded a double-double on Friday with 25 points (10-of-20 FGs), two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, four three-pointers and five turnovers in a 128-120 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: A few weeks after setting a career-high for assists with nine, Grimes topped that mark and recorded the first point-assist double-double of his career. Grimes has been on a roll and has scored at least 25 points in seven consecutive games and in nine of his 11 appearances in the month of March. It's unclear how this will translate into next season when the rest of the roster is healthy, but it has been a fantastic run for Grimes that will result in many championships for fantasy managers.
Lonnie Walker
Lonnie Walker (head) won't return Friday vs. Spurs
Fri, Mar 21, 2025, 3:45 PM
Ahaan Rungta
Lonnie Walker (head) won't return to Friday's game against the Spurs.
Analysis: Walker returned from a four-game absence due to a concussion only to leave Friday's game as a precaution with a mild headache. Ricky Council IV and Jalen Hood-Schifino can fill in the vacated minutes for the 76ers.
