Adem Bona
76ers to guarantee Adem Bona contract for 2026-27
Mon, Jul 6, 2026, 10:33 AM
Philly Voice
76ers to guarantee Adem Bona's contract for the 2026-27 season.
Analysis: The 76ers had until Monday to waive Bona without incurring any financial penalty, but they have reportedly decided to hold on to the former second-round pick. As a result, he's guaranteed to make a shade under $2.3 million next season. In his second NBA season, Bona averaged 4.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 17.4 minutes per game. He'll combine with offseason signing Ariel Hukporti to provide depth behind Joel Embiid, which makes both players non-factors in fantasy basketball.
Andre Drummond
Scotto: Knicks, Andre Drummond agree to deal
Fri, Jul 3, 2026, 12:27 PM
Michael Scotto
Hoopshype's Michael Scotto reports that Andre Drummond has agreed to a deal with the Knicks.
Analysis: Drummond's reported deal will be an important one for the Knicks as they look to fill the void at backup center. Drummond has played 14 seasons in the NBA, serving various roles. He'll essentially replace Mitchell Robinson, who agreed to a deal with the Celtics, to help New York in its title defense. Drummond averaged 6.4 points and 8.4 rebounds last season with the 76ers.
Rayan Rupert
76ers sign Rayan Rupert to two-way contract
Fri, Jul 3, 2026, 5:24 AM
Shams Charania
76ers signed Rayan Rupert to a two-way contract.
Analysis: Rupert finished last season in Memphis after spending a couple seasons in Portland. The 2023 second-round pick is a solid upside swing for Philadelphia, though he likely won't be part of their regular rotation this upcoming season.
Anfernee Simons
Report: 76ers, Anfernee Simons agree to contract
Thu, Jul 2, 2026, 8:50 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the 76ers have agreed to a two-year, $12.3 million deal with Anfernee Simons.
Analysis: Simons, who split time between Boston and Chicago, did not play after February 21 due to a lingering wrist injury. As a result, his numbers suffered, with the guard averaging 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 55 appearances. Simons' arrival gives the 76ers more firepower off the bench; he's averaging 15.0 points per game for his career and exceeded 21 points per game in 2022-23 and 2023-24. Depending on injuries, Simons could provide some value in points leagues next season.
Paul George
Shams: Paul George headed to Celtics via trade
Wed, Jul 1, 2026, 12:26 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports the Celtics are trading Jaylen Brown to the Sixers in exchange for Paul George and draft compensation.
Analysis: The blockbuster deal between Eastern Conference foes swaps two highly regarded two-way wings. George, who is coming off an injury-plagued second season with the Sixers, averaged 17.3 points and 5.3 rebounds across 37 regular-season games. While no longer in his prime, the veteran is still a capable perimeter defender and scorer, with the size and skill set to comfortably play either forward position. Despite being far removed from his days as a Tier 1 fantasy basketball option, he'll have some fantasy value in Boston, particularly due to his high-volume three-point shooting in a system that encourages shots from beyond the arc.
Jaylen Brown
Report: Celtics trade Jaylen Brown to Philadelphia
Wed, Jul 1, 2026, 12:20 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the Celtics have traded Jaylen Brown to the 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks.
Analysis: The Celtics have been shopping Brown for a while now, and they finally found an offer that made moving on from the five-time All-Star worthwhile. Coming off the best individual season of his NBA career, the 6-foot-6 wing is headed to Philadelphia. Last season, Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 79.5 percent from the foul line. Joining forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey likely puts a dent in Brown's usage, but his fantasy value should not take too big of a hit, if any, in Philadelphia.
Dominick Barlow
76ers exercise team option for Dominick Barlow
Mon, Jun 29, 2026, 6:54 AM
Tony Jones
76ers exercised their team option for Dominick Barlow.
Analysis: After beginning training camp competing for a spot in the 76ers' rotation, the combination of his play and injuries to Joel Embiid and Paul George led to Barlow becoming a fixture in the starting lineup. Starting 59 of the 71 games he appeared in, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 23.8 minutes. Barlow's production wasn't enough to make him a consistent factor in fantasy basketball. Still, the recent injury histories of Embiid and George mean he should offer streaming value at a minimum.
Xavier Cooks
76ers sign Duke Miles to Exhibit 10 contract
Fri, Jun 26, 2026, 10:01 AM
76ers signed Duke Miles to an Exhibit 10 contract.
Analysis: The 6-foot, 180-pound Miles played six seasons of college basketball: three at Troy and one each at High Point, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. This past season, he helped lead Vanderbilt to a second-round appearance in the NCAA tournament, averaging 16.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.7 three-pointers. Miles largely relied on his basketball IQ and defensive instincts to wreak havoc on that end of the floor, and he was also a solid playmaker in the two-man game.

76ers add guard depth, pick Philon at No. 22
Tue, Jun 23, 2026, 4:37 PM
76ers selected Labaron Philon Jr. with the No. 22 pick in the NBA Draft.
Analysis: After a solid freshman campaign, Philon was one of the most productive guards in college basketball last season. Earning multiple All-America honors, he averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 three-pointers, shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 79.8 percent from the foul line. While Philon needs to cut down on turnovers, he flourished in Nate Oats' fast-paced system at Alabama. And he's a more than capable shooter from beyond the arc, having shot 39.9 percent from deep as a sophomore. Philon played at an incredibly high pace at Alabama, which may serve him well at the NBA level. The 76ers add another perimeter playmaker who's ready to compete immediately, and learning from Tyrese Maxey should benefit Philon.

Report: Morey out as 76ers lead executive
Tue, May 12, 2026, 1:55 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the 76ers have fired president of basketball operations Daryl Morey.
Analysis: Morey is out after six seasons in Philadelphia, two days after the 76ers were swept out of the playoffs by the New York Knicks. While the 76ers reached the postseason in five of the six seasons that Morey was calling the shots, they never advanced past the conference semifinals. This season's run was doomed by a lack of depth, especially in the aftermath of Jared McCain being traded to the Thunder at the February deadline. According to Charania, head coach Nick Nurse will return for the 2026-27 season.
Kelly Oubre Jr.
Oubre Jr. scores 10 points in Game 4 defeat
Sun, May 10, 2026, 12:20 PM
Kelly Oubre Jr. accounted for 10 points (4-of-6 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs) and four rebounds in Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Knicks.
Analysis: After totaling 41 points in Games 2 and 3, Oubre was limited to 10 points in Sunday's series finale. While this performance was disappointing, the forward's overall showing this season should boost his value in free agency this summer. A return to Philadelphia would limit Oubre's fantasy ceiling in 2026-27, but he should be a reliable late-round option, sitting just outside the top-100 in category league formats.
Paul George
George scores seven points in blowout defeat
Sun, May 10, 2026, 12:20 PM
Paul George amassed seven points (3-of-7 FGs), one rebound, two assists and one three-pointer in Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Knicks.
Analysis: In Games 2 and 3, George's production faltered after hot starts. Unfortunately for him and the 76ers, he could never get going in Game 4, and the Knicks would win by a 144-114 final score, which does not accurately reflect how things went off the rails. After appearing in 41 games in his first season with the 76ers, George appeared in 37 this year, limiting his fantasy value. Like Joel Embiid, the recent availability issues are something that fantasy managers will have to take into consideration when draft season rolls around.
Tyrese Maxey
Maxey limited to 17 points in Game 4 defeat
Sun, May 10, 2026, 12:19 PM
Tyrese Maxey recorded 17 points (6-of-16 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, four assists and one three-pointer in Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Knicks.
Analysis: A standout performer for most of this season, Maxey appeared to be a shell of himself in the second round. He had just one 20-point game in the four-game sweep, with the combination of the Knicks' defense, specifically Mikal Bridges, and an injured right pinky finger being too much to overcome. Maxey will take some heat for his play in this series, and rightfully so. But there should be no concern from fantasy managers regarding the point guard's outlook for 2026-27. Maxey provided first-round per-game value this season, and his emergence makes him a player who should come off the board in the first round of drafts next fall.
Joel Embiid
Embiid scores 24 points in series finale
Sun, May 10, 2026, 12:19 PM
Joel Embiid finished Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Knicks with 24 points (8-of-8 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, four assists and two three-pointers.
Analysis: Despite clearly being compromised physically, Embiid deserves credit for the effort he put forth in Sunday's series finale. The 76ers' center didn't miss a shot from the field and led his team in scoring. Unfortunately for Embiid and the 76ers, the Knicks were able to attack him on the other end of the floor when they weren't knocking down one of their 25 three-pointers. During the regular season, Embiid provided second-round per-game fantasy value, but he was limited to 38 games due to injuries. Availability concerns decreased his ADP by a few rounds in drafts last fall, and that's likely to remain the case ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (hip) available for Game 4 Sunday
Sun, May 10, 2026, 9:02 AM
Joel Embiid (hip) is available for Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks.
Analysis: Embiid was initially listed as probable and with the 76ers down 3-0 in the series, it's no surprise he's available for Game 4 on Sunday. The 32-year-old center missed Game 2 with ankle and hip injuries, but had 18 points in 35 minutes in Friday's Game 3 loss.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (hip) probable for Game 4 Sunday
Sat, May 9, 2026, 11:11 AM
NBA Injury Report
Joel Embiid (hip) is probable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks.
Analysis: With the 76ers' season on the line, it's unsurprising that Embiid is on track to play on Sunday afternoon. After missing Game 3 with ankle and hip injuries, the 76ers' center logged 35 minutes in Game 3. Embiid should take on a similar workload in Game 4.
Tyrese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey posts 17 points, seven assists
Fri, May 8, 2026, 3:57 PM
Tyrese Maxey finished Friday's Game 3 loss to the Knicks with 17 points (8-of-12 FGs), two rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one three-pointer.
Analysis: While Maxey shot the ball well on Friday, he was far too deferential on offense in a game the 76ers needed to win. There were too many moments in which the point guard continued to swing the ball instead of attacking the closeout and getting downhill. While that may have been the “right play,” the 76ers need a more aggressive Maxey on offense to have any chance, especially when considering the team's lack of depth. To force a Game 5, Philadelphia needs Maxey to be in “takeover mode” from the start of Sunday's Game 4.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid plays 35 minutes in Game 3 defeat
Fri, May 8, 2026, 3:56 PM
Joel Embiid accounted for 18 points (7-of-17 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, five assists and three blocks in Friday's Game 3 loss to the Knicks.
Analysis: Despite dealing with ankle and hip injuries that sidelined him for Game 2, Embiid logged 35 minutes in Game 3. While the stat line was decent, the 7-footer is clearly playing at less than full strength. The Knicks continue to target Embiid in pick-and-roll situations, and with consistent success. And the quick turnaround won't help either, as Game 4 is scheduled to tip off a little after 3:30 PM Eastern. Embiid and the 76ers need a win to avoid elimination.
Paul George
Paul George scores 15 first-quarter points
Fri, May 8, 2026, 3:56 PM
Paul George recorded 15 points (6-of-18 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Friday's Game 3 loss to the Knicks.
Analysis: For the second consecutive game, George got off to a hot start for the 76ers. Unfortunately, he provided nothing after scoring 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting in the first frame. George would shoot 0-of-9 from the field the rest of the way, finishing with 15 points. Given Philadelphia's lack of depth, they can ill afford to have PG go quiet after a hot start. However, the lack of depth is also why he and the other starters are being pushed farther than they should be minutes-wise. George and the 76ers will look to stave off elimination on Sunday afternoon.
Kelly Oubre Jr.
Kelly Oubre Jr. scores team-high 22 points
Fri, May 8, 2026, 3:55 PM
Kelly Oubre Jr. amassed 22 points (7-of-16 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in Friday's Game 3 loss to the Knicks.
Analysis: Oubre's offensive output has increased in each game of the 76ers' second-round series, with the veteran wing doing his best to supplement Philadelphia's stars. However, the team's lack of depth has proven costly, with Oubre and the other starters seemingly running out of gas late in games. After producing a 12-point fourth quarter in Game 2, the 76ers scored 18 in the final quarter of Game 3. Oubre's performances won't do much for his fantasy value in 2026-27, but he has been one of the few bright spots for the 76ers in this series. Philadelphia will look to avoid the series sweep on Sunday afternoon.
