Dominick Barlow
Dominick Barlow grabs five rebounds vs. Spurs
Thu, Jul 10, 2025, 6:45 PM
Dominick Barlow accumulated eight points (3-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds and one assist in Thursday's loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Signed to a two-way contract on Wednesday, Barlow started his unofficial 76ers debut on Thursday. He only played 14 minutes against the Spurs but had a solid night shooting the basketball, and the rebounding production was also good. When healthy, the 76ers will have a frontcourt rotation that Barlow may have difficulty cracking. There isn't a need to plan for selecting him in fantasy drafts, even if Joel Embiid is not cleared in time for training camp.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona scores six points in blowout defeat
Thu, Jul 10, 2025, 6:40 PM
Adem Bona accounted for six points (3-of-6 FGs), five rebounds, one steal and two blocked shots in Thursday's loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: On a forgettable night for the 76ers, who lost by a 111-70 final score, Bona was solid as a rebounder and shot-blocker in his 17 minutes on the court. These games in Las Vegas are unlikely to change things for the second-year player once training camp begins, as he'll compete with Andre Drummond and Johni Broome for backup center minutes. And whoever wins that competition will only have fantasy relevance if the 76ers are without starter Joel Embiid.

Dominick Barlow signs two-way deal with Sixers
Wed, Jul 9, 2025, 9:34 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Dominick Barlow has signed a two-way contract with the 76ers.
Analysis: Barlow averaged just under 11 minutes per game across 35 appearances for the Hawks last season. The backup big man started four games and averaged 9.5 points and 3.5 boards in 20 minutes. He'll compete for backup minutes in Philadelphia with the likes of Johni Broome, Adem Bona and Trendon Watford, among others.
Jalen Hood-Schifino
Jalen Hood-Schifino scores 17 points vs. OKC
Mon, Jul 7, 2025, 3:27 PM
Jalen Hood-Schifino finished with 17 points (6-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, two three-pointers and six turnovers in an 89-78 loss to the Thunder on Monday.
Analysis: After scoring just six points on Saturday, JHS stepped up on the offensive end with VJ Edgecombe sidelined with a minor thumb injury. He didn't replicate his eight assists, and turnovers were an issue, but it was encouraging to see him have a strong scoring performance. He'll continue to get an opportunity to compete for a roster spot with Philadelphia, though he'll likely spend most of next season in the G League.
Kyle Lowry
Kyle Lowry agrees to one-year deal with 76ers
Mon, Jul 7, 2025, 11:05 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports Kyle Lowry has agreed to a one-year deal with the 76ers.
Analysis: The 39-year-old will give it one more year with Philadelphia, though it certainly could be his last. While he's enjoyed a long, productive career, Lowry only appeared in 35 games last year and averaged 18.8 minutes per game. He'll be a solid depth point guard for them, but that's probably it.
Adem Bona
Adem Bona contributes 16/8/1/1/1 line vs. Jazz
Sat, Jul 5, 2025, 5:57 PM
Adem Bona tallied 16 points (8-of-11 FGs), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block against the Jazz on Saturday.
Analysis: Bona was two rebounds and two fouls shy of a triple-double, which is typically only something you see in Summer League, since players can't foul out. Bona will compete for the backup center minutes with Andre Drummond and Johni Broome, but the only path to fantasy relevance will be if Joel Embiid misses time.
Jalen Hood-Schifino
Hood-Schifino dishes out eight dimes vs. Utah
Sat, Jul 5, 2025, 5:55 PM
Jalen Hood-Schifino finished with six points (3-of-8 FGs), two rebounds, eight assists and one block against the Jazz on Saturday.
Analysis: JHS ended last season with the 76ers after the 2023 first-round pick's time with the Lakers came to an abrupt end. Now, he's getting the chance to prove he belongs in the NBA. His first two years in the NBA were disappointing, and at this point, he shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy radar.
Jabari Walker
Shams: 76ers sign Jabari Walker to two-way pact
Thu, Jul 3, 2025, 2:58 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports the 76ers signed F Jabari Walker to a two-way contract.
Analysis: To get a player of Walker's experience level on a two-way contract is a shrewd piece of business by the 76ers. The 57th overall pick in the 2022 draft, Walker appeared in 60 games last season, averaging 5.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 12.5 minutes. During the 2023-24 campaign, Walker started 23 of the 72 games he played, averaging 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds in 23.6 minutes. With a healthy Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond, Walker's minutes will likely be limited next season, but he'll have some value on nights when Philadelphia is shorthanded in the post.
Eric Gordon
Eric Gordon, 76ers agree to one-year contract
Tue, Jul 1, 2025, 4:21 PM
Philadelphia 76ers
Eric Gordon and the 76ers have agreed to a one-year deal.
Analysis: Despite his first season in Philadelphia being a disappointment, Gordon will return to the City of Brotherly Love for another run. Before a wrist injury ended his season in late February, the veteran guard made 39 appearances (13 starts) and averaged a career-low 6.8 points with 1.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 three-pointers. A positive for Gordon was that he shot nearly 41 percent from three. His contract is for the veteran's minimum, and fantasy managers should not expect too much from Gordon if the 76ers manage to remain healthy.
Trendon Watford
Shams: PHI signs Trendon Watford to two-year deal
Mon, Jun 30, 2025, 3:57 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports the 76ers have signed PF/C Trendon Watford to a two-year, $5.3 million deal.
Analysis: After two seasons in Brooklyn, Watford is reportedly headed to Philadelphia, with the second year of his deal being a team option. While injuries limited the forward to 44 games, he averaged a career-high 10.2 points along with 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 20.8 minutes. Watford gives the 76ers additional frontcourt depth and versatility, but that may not be enough to make him relevant in most fantasy leagues.
Kelly Oubre
Shams: Kelly Oubre Jr. picks up player option
Sun, Jun 29, 2025, 6:54 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports Kelly Oubre Jr. has picked up his play option for the 2025-26 season.
Analysis: Sunday was deadline day for Oubre, who has decided to exercise his player option worth $8.4 million. The veteran wing has provided solid value in both seasons with the 76ers, most recently averaging 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers per game in 2024-25. While Oubre did offer solid fantasy value last season, the 76ers stand to be deeper on the perimeter next season with Jared McCain (knee) being healthy and lottery pick VJ Edgecombe joining the team. Also, the 76ers are expected to do whatever they can to re-sign Quentin Grimes once he hits restricted free agency on Monday.
Quentin Grimes
Report: 76ers tender QO to Quentin Grimes
Sat, Jun 28, 2025, 11:34 AM
Michael Scotto
According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the 76ers have tendered a qualifying offer to Quentin Grimes.
Analysis: With it being reported earlier in June by NBA insider Marc Stein that re-signing Grimes is a priority for the 76ers, Saturday's development was expected. Tendering a qualifying offer to the guard, acquired from the Mavericks at the February trade deadline, makes him a restricted free agent when free agency opens on Monday. While the 2024-25 season was a significant disappointment for Philadelphia, Grimes' play was one of the few bright spots. As part of a healthy rotation, he'll have a low fantasy ceiling, but Grimes should still be worth a look in deeper leagues.
Jared Butler
Report: PHI declines Jared Butler contract option
Fri, Jun 27, 2025, 10:10 AM
Kyle Neubeck
According to PHLY Sports' Kyle Neubeck, the 76ers are declining Jared Butler's team option.
Analysis: Butler appeared in 60 games last season, 28 as a member of the 76ers after being acquired from the Wizards at the February trade deadline. The former second-round pick was one of the players whose minutes increased once Philadelphia shifted its focus toward strengthening the odds that they would keep their first-round pick, which was top-6 protected. Butler averaged 11.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 three-pointers in 24.4 minutes per game as a 76ers player. With Philadelphia declining his option, Butler will be an unrestricted free agent.
Andre Drummond
Andre Drummond $5M player option for 2025-26
Fri, Jun 27, 2025, 7:38 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Andre Drummond has picked up his $5 million player option for the 2025-26 season.
Analysis: Drummond played well in a reserve role behind Joel Embiid in 2024-25, and rather than test the free agent market, he'll return to the Sixers for another season with a similar role. Fantasy managers can expect solid numbers when Drummond is thrust into the starting lineup, but he's not typically worth utilizing when Embiid is healthy.
Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid (knee) may be ready for training camp
Wed, Jun 25, 2025, 5:41 PM
Austin Krell
Joel Embiid (knee) is “very engaged” in his rehab and is on track to be ready to go just before the start of training camp, according to 76ers lead executive Daryl Morey.
Analysis: While the NBA Draft was the focus on Wednesday, with Philadelphia selecting Baylor's VJ Edgecombe third overall, Morey also had to answer questions regarding Embiid. After undergoing left knee surgery in April, just before the end of the regular season, there were questions regarding the 2023 MVP's availability for the start of the 2025-26 season. According to Morey, Embiid is on track to be good to go around the time that training camp begins in late September. His injury history will give many fantasy managers pause at draft time, but a healthy Embiid can be one of the best players in the NBA and fantasy basketball.
Quentin Grimes
Stein: Re-signing Grimes ‘priority' for 76ers
Wed, Jun 18, 2025, 3:58 PM
Marc Stein
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, re-signing Quentin Grimes this summer is a “priority” for the 76ers.
Analysis: Acquired from the Mavericks at the trade deadline in exchange for Caleb Martin, Grimes made an extremely positive impression on the 76ers. With Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George sidelined due to injury, Grimes recorded some gaudy stat lines during the “silly season.” Unsurprisingly, keeping the restricted free agent in Philadelphia is the team's desire. According to Stein, his sources say re-signing Grimes remains a “priority” for the 76ers. In a healthy rotation, his fantasy ceiling is considerably lower than it was when Philadelphia was shorthanded. That said, re-signing Grimes will be critical for the 76ers, whose bench disappointed for most of the 2024-25 season.
Lonnie Walker
Lonnie Walker scores 31 points with eight threes
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 9:59 AM
Lonnie Walker IV led the 76ers with 31 points (11-of-23 FGs), six rebounds, two assists and eight three-pointers in a 122-102 loss to the Bulls on Sunday.
Analysis: Walker signed with the 76ers right after the All-Star break and ended up having a solid season for them, albeit in just 20 appearances. He ended it on a high note with new season highs for both points and three-pointers. He averaged 12.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.3 triples in 23.8 minutes per game this season. The 76ers have a team option to keep Walker for another season, but with the team healthy heading into next year, it's unlikely that he replicates these numbers.
Tyrese Maxey
Maxey (finger) needs at least ‘another month'
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 6:42 AM
Kyle Neubeck
Tyrese Maxey (finger) said he needs “at least another month” before he can get back to basketball.
Analysis: Maxey, who has been sidelined since early March, should be ready for the start of next season, but it's going to be a little while before he returns to playing basketball. Maxey's season has been over for a while, and the 76ers aren't going to play in the postseason, so this won't have any immediate impact. However, it appears that his finger injury is fairly severe, since it'll end up being close to three months off before he returns to basketball activities.
Quentin Grimes
76ers starting Butler, Grimes, Walker, Bagley Bona
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 6:39 AM
The 76ers will start Jared Butler, Quentin Grimes, Lonnie Walker IV, Marcus Bagley, and Adem Bona against the Bulls on Sunday.
Analysis: Grimes is back in the mix for the shorthanded 76ers and will bump Ricky Council IV to the bench.
Quentin Grimes
Quentin Grimes (shoulder) available Sunday vs. CHI
Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 6:07 AM
Keith Pompey
Quentin Grimes (shoulder) is available for Sunday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: Grimes is available after sitting out Friday's loss to the Hawks. He can be a significant asset to fantasy managers in active leagues if he can approach his average of 35.6 minutes per game over his last five appearances. Given how well Grimes has played for the 76ers, he's undoubtedly worth the risk.
